Contracted by the State of Ohio’s Department of Child Welfare, my team at the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation created a comprehensive synchronous and asynchronous training course for county professionals within the Child Welfare system to increase their motivational interviewing and engagement skills to better serve families and see improved outcomes for children. We started by gaining a deep understanding of the work, the goals of the project, and how to make the end result effective and sustainable.

The brand represents the facets of social service professionals' work and the complexities of the families they serve. I wanted to make it both beautiful and symbolic of a conversation. Because that’s where change begins.
